Senator Smucker

May 31, 2010 - Senator Smucker rode in Ken Adams' 1929 Model A Ford in the Wrightsville Memorial Day Parade.  After the parade, Senator Smucker paid tribute to those soldiers who provided the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom at a ceremony at the Wrightsville Cemetery.  The American Legion Abel-Poff-Leithiser Post #469 organized the event.  Senator Smucker's comments (Please click on photo for additional photos)

May 12, 2010 - Senator Smucker toured Armstrong World Industries.  Armstrong is an international designer and manufacturer of floors, ceilings and cabinets.  Armstrong operates 40 plants in 10 countries and has approximately 12,300 employees worldwide.  Armstrong officials demonstrated specialized ceiling tiles, flooring and wall coverings which absorb sound and can be used to improve the sound quality in offices and school classrooms.  Pictured with Senator Smucker is David Cookson, Senior Vice President.  The tour was provided by Paul Aierstuck, Manager of Training and Installation Services. May 6, 2010 - Senator Smucker toured the C&D Technologies Plant in Leola.  C&D produces systems for the power conversion and storage of electrical power.  C&D is a leader in this industry and has developed reserve power systems supplied to leading operators of telecommunications, data transmission, infrastructure computer systems and utilities to enable them to maintain critical operations during power outages.  The tour was provided by plant managers Dan Boyer and Greg Reich and government program manager Jesus Alvarez. (Please click on photo for additional photos)
