May 6, 2010 - Senator Smucker toured the C&D Technologies Plant in Leola.  C&D produces systems for the power conversion and storage of electrical power.  C&D is a leader in this industry and has developed reserve power systems supplied to leading operators of telecommunications, data transmission, infrastructure computer systems and utilities to enable them to maintain critical operations during power outages.  The tour was provided by plant managers Dan Boyer and Greg Reich and government program manager Jesus Alvarez.
