April 15, 2010 - Senator Smucker attended the LAVORP Annual Dinner. The senator presented LAVORP with a citation for the organization's efforts in the District Attorney's Victim Witness area. Craig Stedman, District Attorney and Pat Grosh from his staff head up the victim witness office. The Victim Witness Program was created to inform and educate all crime victims of their rights, giving them the opportunity to take an active role in decisions related to how their case is handled. This enables victims to receive justice and begin the healing process to restore their lives.
