Senator Smucker helped serve breakfast at the Robert Fulton Fire Company, located 4 miles north of the Maryland line in Southern Lancaster County.  The fire company was named after Robert Fulton who was born in 1765 in a small stone house just north of the fire house.  Robert Fulton was an inventor and was most famous for his designing and building of the steam ship which is hand painted on the sides of each piece of equipment the fire company now owns.
