May 20, 2009 - Senator Smucker visited Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in York County. The visit included an informational session about the benefits of nuclear power as well as a tour of the facility, including the control room, reactor and fuel storage areas. The Senator was impressed with the high level of attention to detail in the operations and the security of the plant. Providing for our current and future energy needs is an important issue for the Senator.
