May 20, 2009 - Senator Smucker presented a check along with the Bridge Educational Foundation, AWI (Associated Wholesalers, Inc.) / Shurfine Markets to Resurrection School. AWI / Shurfine Markets contributed $34,000 through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) to Resurrection School, Mount Calvary Christian School, and Lancaster Christian School. EITC gives tax credits to eligible businesses who contribute to a Scholarship Organization, an Educational Improvement Organization, and/or a Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organization.
