April 30, 2009 - Ambassador Ware toured the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA which is nearing final completion.  Senator Smucker and Jeff Kenderdine, CEO of the Lancaster Family YMCA, hosted the tour to give the Ambassador a first-hand look at the region's newest community facility.  The Senator was pleased to help in the effort to bring this great facility to the community by serving as Chair of the L-S YMCA Building Campaign Committee and as a West Lampeter Township Supervisor.  A joint project between West Lampeter Township, Strasburg Township, Strasburg Borough, the L-S School District and the YMCA, the new facility is scheduled to open Saturday, May 23rd.   For more information check out http://lancasterymca.icomm.vertex.net/lampeter-strasburg/default.asp
